Established in 1963, Box 4 is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), designed to help Dallas Fire Fighters and other area first responders.
The purpose of Box 4 is to provide on-scene support to the brave men and women of Dallas Fire Rescue as they do their jobs through the blazing heat, the freezing cold, and everyday in-between.
Box 4 is the Official Rehab Services Provider for Dallas Fire-Rescue

We are responsible for setting up the Rehab area at critical incidents. This includes hydration, cooling tents, snacks, portable heaters, rest areas, and partnering with the Safety Officer to ensure the first responders are getting the rest they need and are safe to get back to doing their job.

Box 4 is always looking for new volunteers to help us complete our mission, no previous experience needed!
If you are 21 years of age or older, have a valid drivers license, and can pass a background check, you are eligible to volunteer.

Absolutely not.
The majority of our members have other full-time jobs. While Box 4 is available 24/7, we do not expect our members to always be able to respond.

YES!
All of our members are volunteers, some of which had previous first responder experience and others who have not.
There is no experience required to join Box 4! We will train you in everything you need to know and ensure that you are operating safely when on an active emergency scene.

If you are interested in our mission but not interested in responding to emergencies or are concerned about availability, there are plenty of other ways that members can contribute.
We are always looking for new members that can help with fundraising, fleet management, operations, logistics, partnerships, and so much more.
Being a member of Box 4 means helping with the mission of supporting the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department. There are plenty of ways to do so without having to respond to an active emergency scene
